Amos Ale Magar
Bachelor in Engineering
“Since I planned to continue to study the Bachelor in Civil Engineering at the time when my financial status was not good, I infact was in dilemma whether to study this subject. I prayed to God same time I consulted my leaders and pastors of our church (Shalom A.G) about my problem. They encouraged me to study and also recommended me to Minority FOCUS for scholarship which turned out as a blessing for me. Thus I obtained a sponsorship from Suomen La under partnership with MINORITY FOCUS in 2017 A.D. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, my exam was postponed. The date for the examination is scheduled in March (Chaitra) I am now engaged as a “Trainer” in Peace Technical Training Centre (PTTC) from 2019 A.D which is located in Gwarko, Lalitpur and recently started a company named Biswasniye Engineering & Construction with my uncles where I am overseeing the technical part of the company.
Regarding my job engagement, I started to teach trainees of different trades like Mason, Aluminum Fabricator, Welder etc. as a core trainer while subjects like drawings, measurement and mathematics to all trades as a guest teacher. It’s quite a joy to be able to teach hundreds of people.
I am grateful to God for speaking in the heart of the Minority Focus team and sponsors as in Mathew 7:7 of Bible tells that “Ask and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you:”. I am also engaged with the Youth & Children Ministry of our Church and I hope God will use me further in his kingdom. It is my pleasure to be engaged after my completion of Bachelor studies in Engineering. I aim to a qualified leader in this engineering sector.
And once again, I thank Minority Focus and its partner Suomen La sponsoring me to study my
Bachelor in Engineering.”

Sundar Tamang
Diploma in Geometric Engineering
I come from a poor family of 13–14 members. My parents became physically disabled after they were buried in the rubble during the devastating earthquake of 2015. Since then, we have had to become the breadwinners for our family. I have been managing my studies by working as a laborer during my training breaks. Unfortunately, my brothers and sisters had to stop their education because of our financial problems. Despite my strong desire to continue, I am now on the verge of quitting my studies due to our difficult situation.
At the right time, the DDHCFN Board approved a scholarship for him. With this support, he was able to continue his courses and successfully complete them on time. His initial plan is to appear for the Public Service Commission examination of Nepal in hopes of securing a government job. He is currently preparing for it.
After earning a stable income, he plans to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Geometric Measurement in the future. He has a strong desire to serve as an engineer.
